Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Dapper Trading LTD, trading as Recovr ("Recovr", "we", "us", "our"), and govern your access to and use of the Recovr app, website and services. By creating an account or using Recovr you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Recovr.
1. What Recovr is
Recovr is a technology platform that connects customers who need vehicle breakdown or recovery help with independent, third-party recovery operators. We act as an intermediary. We do not provide recovery, towing or roadside services ourselves, and the operator, not Recovr, is solely responsible for the services they perform.
2. Recovr is not an emergency service
Recovr is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or there is a risk to life, call 999 immediately. You must not rely on Recovr in an emergency.
3. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information, including your name, contact details, date of birth and address, and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your login details secure.
4. Bookings, pricing and payment
Prices are calculated and shown to you before you confirm a request, and may vary with distance, time of day, vehicle and job complexity. By confirming a request you authorise us and our payment provider to take payment, which may include placing a hold when an operator accepts and capturing it on completion. You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account. Recovr Care is an optional membership billed in advance and cancellable at any time; fees already charged are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
5. Cancellations and no-shows
You may cancel before an operator is en route at no charge. Once an operator has been dispatched or is en route, a cancellation or no-show fee may apply, as shown at the time of booking, to compensate the operator for their time and travel.
6. Operators
Operators are independent contractors and are not our employees or agents. They are required to hold valid motor-trade insurance and any certifications needed for the work. While we carry out verification checks, we do not control and are not responsible for operators, their acts or omissions, their conduct, the quality, timing or pricing of work performed off the platform, or any loss or damage arising from the recovery itself.
7. Your responsibilities and acceptable use
You agree to use Recovr lawfully; to give safe and accurate information about your vehicle and location; not to misuse, disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform; not to use it fraudulently or for any unlawful purpose; and to treat operators with respect. We may refuse, suspend or cancel service where these Terms are broken.
8. Disclaimers
Recovr is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, whether express or implied, including as to availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and the accuracy of ETAs, prices or maps, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dapper Trading LTD and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, data or goodwill, or for the acts or omissions of operators or other third parties. Our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid to Recovr in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 pounds. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dapper Trading LTD and its personnel from any claims, losses, liabilities and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of Recovr, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Intellectual property
The Recovr name, logo, app, website and all related content are owned by or licensed to Dapper Trading LTD and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify or create derivative works without our permission.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, or risk to safety. You may stop using Recovr and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including those on payment, liability, indemnity and disputes, will continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time and will post the updated version with a new date. If you continue to use Recovr after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law, disputes and general
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. Questions?
