The problem we are solving

Roadside recovery in the UK works against the people who actually do the job. Independent operators carry the trucks, the fuel, the insurance and the risk, then hand up to half of every fee to the network that dispatched it. Drivers, meanwhile, wait on hold with little idea of who is coming or when, and often do not know the price until the work is done.

Recovr rebuilds that relationship. Operators keep the large majority of every job and build their own name. Drivers see a live map, a real-time ETA and a price up front, and are not charged until they confirm their operator on arrival.

How Recovr works

Recovr is an on-demand marketplace, closer to how you would order a ride than how traditional breakdown cover works. A driver requests help and is matched in real time to a nearby vetted operator. The driver tracks that operator on a live map, confirms them with a 4-digit arrival PIN, and only then is the payment taken. Every operator keeps 80 percent of the job, with a flat and transparent platform fee and nothing hidden.

The technology

Recovr runs on a modern, real-time stack so dispatch, tracking and payments simply work. A single native app serves iOS and Android. Geo-matching and live tracking run on Postgres with PostGIS and real-time infrastructure. Routing and estimated arrival times use the Google Maps platform. Payments and fast operator payouts are handled through Stripe Connect, with funds held securely and released on arrival.

Where we are heading

Recovr is launching across the UK in 2026. We are onboarding a limited group of founding operators in each area first, starting in London and the South East, then Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow. Founding operators get their first three months free and a rate locked for their first year.
